Going back to our roots! The legendary NiL, one of the first and premier gay venues in Munich’s pink community is re-opening after a complete ‚make over’.
The original landlord Manfred is back on duty and the gay scene gets back its comfortable ‘living room’, in effect Gay Head Quarters. Bigger, better and more beautifully designed than ever, thanks to a total re-vamp! But just as in the old days visitors of all age groups and persuasions can meet up, get to know one another and feel at home here thanks to the legendary friendly atmosphere which has not been changed- simply re-introduced! |
Designed by Thomas Winzker the classy interior based on warm red and sandstone tones, and the inviting made to measure bar centred around Egyptian pillars create an atmosphere that guarantees a high ‘flirt factor’!
The lounge - like alcove provides a cosy chill out space, where guests can relax under a midnight blue Egyptian sky. The large art works, including lively originals by the internationally acclaimed artist David Bennett, evoke and pay hommage to the original NiL. You might recognise a familiar face or two – or yourself?- in some of the characters on the wall! |

The new NiL picks up where the old NiL left off - a friendly efficient team to care for the guests, the fabulous Manfred himself, as well as homemade old favorites from the kitchen such as ‘Cornflakes Schnitzel’, traditional German meat patties, or Lentil soup with ExtraWurst.
Meet old friends, make new ones, have a drink ,a bite to eat- take a trip down the NIL!
